Indian Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri Meets Sri Lankan Muslim Political Leaders in Colombo

இந்தச் சந்திப்பின் போது, இலங்கை மக்களின் நலனை மேம்படுத்தும் நோக்கில் இந்தியா முன்னெடுத்து வரும் அபிவிருத்தித் திட்டங்கள் குறித்தும் கவனம் செலுத்தப்பட்டது.

மேலும், இரு நாடுகளுக்கிடையிலான நட்புறவையும், மக்கள் நலனை மையமாகக் கொண்ட சமூகம் சார்ந்த நடவடிக்கைகளையும் தொடர்ந்து வலுப்படுத்துவது தொடர்பாகவும் பயனுள்ள கருத்துப் பரிமாற்றம் இடம்பெற்றது.

இச்சந்திப்பு, பரஸ்பரம் இந்தியா–இலங்கை இருதரப்பு ஒத்துழைப்பை மேலும் வலுப்படுத்தும் முன்னெடுப்பின் ஓர் அம்சமாக அமைந்திருந்தது. இதன் போது, இந்திய உயர் ஸ்தானிகர் சந்தோஷ் ஜா அவர்களும் உடனிருந்தார்.

Colombo, August 5: Indian Foreign Secretary Shri Vikram Misri met with leaders of Sri Lankan Muslim political parties during his visit to Colombo on Tuesday to discuss bilateral cooperation and India’s ongoing development assistance for the benefit of the Sri Lankan people.

The meeting was attended by Sri Lanka Muslim Congress (SLMC) Leader and Member of Parliament Rauff Hakeem and All Ceylon Makkal Congress (ACMC) Member of Parliament Ashraff Thahir.

During the discussions, the participants focused on India’s development cooperation projects aimed at improving the welfare of the people of Sri Lanka. They also exchanged views on further strengthening the long-standing friendship between India and Sri Lanka through people-centric initiatives and enhanced bilateral collaboration.

The meeting formed part of ongoing efforts to deepen India–Sri Lanka relations and reinforce cooperation on issues of mutual interest. Indian High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, Santosh Jha, was also present at the discussions.
