இந்தியாவின் நட்புக்கு சான்றாக அமைந்த சந்திப்பு..!

இலங்கைக்கான இந்திய தூதர் சந்தோஷ் ஜாவிடம் நடத்தப்பட்ட சந்திப்பில், தொடர்ச்சியாக இந்தியா இலங்கைக்கு வழங்கி வரும் உதவிகளுக்கு நன்றி கூறும் வாய்ப்புக் கிடைத்தது. கொழும்பிலுள்ள இந்திய ஹவுசில் நேற்று நடந்த இந்த சந்திப்பில், இருதரப்புக்கிடையிலான பல தசாப்தகால புரிந்துணர்வுகள் மீட்டப்பட்டதுடன், நீடித்து வரும் நீண்ட கால கலாசார உறவுகளின் பெறுமானங்கள் பெருமையுடன் நினைவு கூரப்பட்டன.

நெருக்கடியான காலகட்டங்களிலும் அவசர தேவைகளின்போதும் சுகாதாரம்,வீடமைப்பு, ரயில்வேத் துறை மற்றும் பாதுகாப்பு விவாகரங்களில் இந்தியா வழங்கி வரும் உதவிகளுக்கும் சந்தோஷ்ஜாவிடம் எமது நன்றியைத் தெரிவித் தோம். அதிலும் விசேடமாக அண்மையில் இலங்கையை குலுக்கிச் சூறையாடிய தித்வா பேரழிவுக்கான நிவாரண உதவியாக 450 மில்லியன் டொலரை இந்தியா வழங்கியது டன், இலங்கையின் மீண்டெழும் முயற்சிகளுக்கு கைகொடுத்தமை நட்பின் அடையாளமாக அமைந்ததையும் நாம், நினைவுகூர்ந்தோம்.

Had the pleasure of meeting the High Commissioner of India today at India House. I took this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for India’s longstanding and consistent support to Sri Lanka over several decades, particularly in key sectors such as hospitals, railways, housing, health services, and public security.

I also conveyed my gratitude for the recent financial assistance of USD 450 provided for Cyclone Ditwah relief efforts, which has been valuable in supporting affected communities. I deeply value the continued friendship and cooperation between our two nations.
